Finland, you say? Oh, good. I'll sleep well tonight. I was worried about having my home destroyed by a volley of leather clogs.

One squadron of fight jets can take out Cuba. Our Airforce alone or Navy can destroy the world. And the US military total force combined has enough power to destroy the world many times over. Invading is anothe story, since war is all about destruction. We are the best at destroying our enemies but not rebuilding there infrastructure.

Its a fact that the US excluding britain spends more then the rest of the worlds super powers combined. Dont give in to reports that our military is stretched. The new purchase of advanced fighter jet programs like the Joint strike fight and the F-22 can destroy enemy air forces without them even knowing what hit them. There is no military aircraft that can match them. China might be able to take us on in 50 or some years but thats it. Lets not even talk about our nukes, we have enough nukes to destroy us and the moon.

There is a very big difference between being the aggressor and the defender. During the second world war, we had men enlisting to fight and die in the defense of innocent people and our country. We did not have a problem building an army, navy and marine corps.

The Iraq war is one where we are the aggressor. We invaded that country, blaming them for the twin towers destruction, when it was Afghanistan that did the dirty deed.
Since we are the aggressors, the American general public thinks we made a terrible mistake, that is taking the lives of our brave soldiers. The consequence of that aggression is that the army is not getting men and women to volunteer.

To answer your question further, every American would fight to the dying end if any country, (not a small group of radicals), were to attack us in force, including Cuba, China, Russia, or North Korea!

I think police forces of many small towns have the force and munitions to fight off an attack from Cuba.

Leather clogs? You Americans know nothing of the Outside World do you, you isolationists ingrates. Um yes America could fend off a Cuban attack but Cuba is in no condition to attack the US Armed Forces.

Cuba, yes. We could fight off an attack from Cuba.
China, no.
And that will be proven in about 40 or 50 years when China revokes our "credit cards" and sends it multi-million-man forces over here to take whatever it wants: property; natural resources; military hardware; real estate; banks; even our women if there's a strong demand for western women in the international sex-slave trade. -RKO- 08/25/07

I think a well-trained troop of Brownies and Cub Scouts could handle Uncle Fidel's fighting forces.

Is that a serious question. We have the fighting force to take on China and Russia at the same time. Dont buy into the lies about our military "unreadiness".

-The whole world combined - Canada and Mexico included - couldn't beat the US at war.

The ability of almost anyone to attack the US is negated by our Navy and Air Force. Any invasion force would sink or blow up long before it reached our coast or border.

The only reason why Cuba would be a threat is if they have nuclear weapons. But they don't.

I imagine that Cuba could be handled. Maybe even Finland.
