ok my ex bf broke up with me about 3 weeks ago saying he didn't see us working out anymore. I was soo devastated, we were together for a year and we were looking for apartments together a day before he broke up with me. Anyways, I saw him at a bar last night and he would not leave me alone. He kept saying how I ment so much to him and he wants to me friends with me, and doesn't want to be strangers with one another. How does he expect me to be friends with him after he broke my heart??

I guess he wants to redeem himself and take things slow with you and become friends with you and then find the right opportunity to get things spiced up and remind you of how happy you two were together before breaking up

I would suggest that you did not remain friends with your ex. If he broke your heart you might want to stay away. Since he was in the bar when you ran into him, he could have been trying to influence you to go home with him especially if he was drunk. He broke up with you after you and him had planned to move together. I don't know why he broke up with you after you and him were together a year so I am not certain.

I'm not a guy, but I don't think you should be angry at him for wanting to be friends; I know he broke your heart and everything, but you were together for a YEAR so you obviously meant a lot to him. Just because he's not in love with you doesn't mean he wants you out of his life completely. However, if you feel not seeing him would better help your 'healing process' then I suggest letting him know. Best of luck!

Sounds to me like what ever he had on the side fell through. I'm happily married, but the only reason I can think of is for sex.

it is typical. he just couldnt find someone else and needs you sexually. he just wears "we are just friends" mask to take advantage of your feelings and of the memories of your past times.
so long as he is around you, you cant forget about him. be decisive at your decision and avoid contacting him. it is time to think rational, not emotional.
you deserve better than him.
