I don't understand why all the fuss about long hair. Are you respectful to your parents? Do you do well at school? Do you have a part time job? Do you abstain from drugs? Do you hang out with kids your parents like?If you can answer yes to these questions I do not understand you dad's hangup about long haif. If you keep it clean and neat it should not be a problemThe length of a person's hair does not contribute to them being a person of good character. If your parents are Christian you could point out that Jesus did not have a brush cut.I think your dad is just a little insecure about males with long hair. However I think you should still respect your dad;s wishes.Maybe yourr dad will meet you halfway on the length,it is worth a try.Take care.

Well I honestly don't know what the current protocol is for kids and their parents and hair, but hey, at least he gave you a choice. Personally I think kids should be able to do reasonable things with their hair, it just seems a trivial issue that will tend to control itself assuming you are a decent person because young people tend to stay within boundaries set by their peers. But again, he gave you a choice and I can pretty much guarantee you he doesn't WANT to take your computer. You young folks don't seem to ever want to stand up for yourselves like we did in the past (and there is a good side to that too, honoring/respecting your parents) but here's your chance if he's going to give you a choice. Let him take the computer. Let him explain to people that you don't have a computer because you have long hair, that will make him seem real sensible and you'll have countless opportunities to make him feel like a heel about it as time goes on. I really don't mean to encourage young people to go against their parents but I also think some issue parents are just wrong on, to make such a big deal of, and I like to see young people with a (reasonable) independent spirit.

rebel. start drinking beer and staying out all night. Let your grades drop to F's and then slowly stop drinking beer, do your homework, and he'll be so happy you changed, your hair will be the least of his problems.
