Just lean to the side where the shot is going, and let your arm go as limp as wet spaghetti. It will hurt less.

never had a flu shot but i have had a tetanus shot. it's not all that bad it hurts for maybe 3-4 days and is basically just sore and stiff.if you rub it a lot it'll help more then you think it would, it actually helps with the soreness. just take some tylynol and an ice pack on it when it hurts and that should do the trick.

In my humble opinion the tetanus is way worse. It left my arm sore for almost a week. My daughter got one, though, and exercised her arm a lot and massaged the shot spot (she's a swimmer) and had no soreness at all.

sorry, but a tetanus shot does. It hurts for several days. YOur arm gets really stiff.

They are both killed vaccines and thus neither will bother you much. The tetanus show will probably include either diptheria or you will given a TDAP ( which has tetanus , diptheria and Acellular Pertussis) depending on your age. So you might get slightly more reaction from it.
