It would be great for those nights they won't go to bed or mornings they are up at 4 AM...like Christmas morning LOL!
Seriously I absolutely adore and love all my children but there are days that I think any child gets on their parents nerves no matter how much we love them!

I have to admit, at times that would be neat. The only drawback would be with some parents overusing the off switch. But to be able to turn them off for just a few minutes when they are really young. Would be nice! :)

I am a parent and i would prefer a mute button myself.
(personally, I found it a lovely question. having been the father of two Energizer Bunnies, I often lamented I couldn't find the on/off switch)

LOL Really, I think that you would be bored.
It is the struggles that ultimately bring you closer together and let you see each other's humanity.
Just hang on and keep your sense of humor. Someday when you have grandchildren you will love being able to tell them the stories you are gathering now.

Many people use "jokes" as a way to say what they really feel. It seems to be a constant theme in many of the questions that you post, either about abortion, parenting, questioning about having children or not. Very disturbing! A word to the ignorant-PEACE!
