it's been 5 days now. i didnt realize i actually love him and still do. i can't get over it. and i have mixed feelings baout the way he looks at me now. he's been avoiding sort of. but anyway, how can i casually suggest that he and i get back together?

It's not a casual question, so there's no way to casually ask it.
Who initiated the break up? If you did, why did you? Was it a good enough reason or a petty disagreement? Was the break up conversation kind and considered or did you say things that were hurtful and can't be taken back?
If he initiated the breakup, assume his decision was made for a good enough reason and do what you can to start moving on.

It's probably a better idea to take a step back to try to gain more perspective. The idea of it may be all stars and hearts (pretty things), but the reality of it could throw you into a much worse break up than before.
You know what's best for you dear. And no matter what "the people" answer, you're gonna do what you want to do anyway.

the best part of breaking up is when your making up
but if you've really broken up, it might not be a good idea to break up. first, you've already waded into the river of bad feelings that you will have to cross before you can fully move on. getting back together prolongs the recovery.
second, there ws probably a reason for your breakup. if that didn't change, it bodes poorly for your relationship
finally, breaking up and getting back together usually leads to negative feelings because (1) one party really hurt the other in doing the dumping, and (2) the principal reason for getting back together is because being on your own didn't work out. its like your retreating from the break up because you failed to make it work, and you'll end up resentful.

Don't "Casually Suggest", ask him straight up. You may misinterpet his casual response and feel that he wants to get back together. Be honest, tell him how you feel, and go from there....

erm i dont think theres a casual way but u culd try something lyk, me and you WERE great together, shame we arent no more...things like that, implying you should get back together, if that dont work, just tell him how you feel properly, never know, he may be thinking exactly the same as u ! x ;)

Call him up to talk or get together. He will recognize just by the way you are speaking to him that you want to give it another try. Believe me. Just dont beat around the bush. Be yourself.

you have nothing to lose if you just tell him that you still want to be with him. the worst thing that can happen is it doesnt work, and then you are no worse off than you are right now. call him up tonight
