Your pet will deliver pups on ,or around the 56 to 63rd. day from conceiving. If she has dropped a week ago,she could possibly go into labor in about another week. Some Expectant dogs will get milk and some don't until after pups are born.On the day she is going into labor, most won't eat and search for a quite place to have the litter. You will need to prepare a large pasteboard box.line with newspaper and place it in a quite area of your home.As she begind contractions, you will note her tearing up the paper ,or scratching around in the box.As her contractions become harder ,you will notice her pushing down with each contractions.A pup should be expelled within 45 minutes to 1 hour after she starts pushing down.Just watch her and note if a pup is expelled that she begins to clean the head area first,if she doesn't you must tear away the bag of fluid ,or pup will drown within seconds. Then let her finish cleaning the pup.If no pup is expelled within the above time, you will need to call your vet,as pup may be lodged within birth canal and a C-section will be needed.Just keep a close watch on her from now until pups are born.Good luck on your new litter.

Well..it sounds like you have some idea of what to do...you appear to be watching her and keeping track of what is going on in her pregnancy and your taking her temp....I'm surprised you don't know when she will deliver...it's about 63 days......after her temp drops to 99 degrees or less and stays down...she will deliver about 24 hours later. She sound like she is getting close to that...so be prepared to sleep next to her tonight in case it happens then. Don't worry.....she will probably produce milk after the puppies are born....just in time for the puppies to nurse. Good luck with her tonight.

None of these questions occured to you before now? Like say when you dog was in heat and you decided not to have her spayed?

Do you even know what type of dog she mated with or do you just let you intact female wander around attracting the first guy she can find?

I don't know the answers to any of your questions, I've never bred and dog and don't plan to. My dogs are both fixed. But if I did you can bet I would know how long it takes to have puppies, and what to do when they are born.....

BYBs are not needed.

they don't always get "milk", until about 24 hours before, the temp drop is usually an indicator that it will happen in the next 24-2-72 hours.

if her temp has dropped she should have them within 24 hours.
I hope the male wasn't bigger than her as she may not be able to deliver on her own and seh may need a c-section.
I strongly suggest you call your vet and have them on standby for a c-section.
You should have her try to settle in a place you want her to have her pups. She may begin to pant a lot and not seem to get comfortableyou may also notice her digging
she may not want to eat.
