I have to say that Latin America's main natural resource is its people. It is amazing how in spite of all the economical and/or political problems they face everyday, these people remain optimistic about life, they work like hell, they "invent" things when they have no money to buy them, they are happy and treasure their family values, etc.
If you want to know about each country specific natural resource, then google it and I'm sure it will appear. Dont know why you think the wrong answer will appear, it's all a matter of finding the correct article with serious facts posted.
Why are so many people giving us thumbs down????

When you write Latin America (South America) it means that you think that Latin America and South America are two words with the same meaning, which is not. First of all you should research what Latin America is and what South America is.
