I just got a 10 week old puppy. After she poos, she rubs her butt on the kitchen floor and leaves long poo lines on the floor. Why does she do that?

May have worms, or need to have anal glands expressed, but I think it might be worms, which is not uncommon.

Worms, doggy hemeroids or she needs to "wipe" a little more after pooing. Dogs can't use toilet paper like we can. Try to take her outside so that she will do that on the grass and not on your floors.

It could be a few different things. It could be that she just wants to keep herself clean, or it could be that she needs to go get her anal glands expressed, or she has worms. Worms are very commen and can be treated easily. They have over the counter meds that do work, i know from experience, and if she needs her anal glands expressed alot of groomers can do it for you! My pup does the same thing so it is really commen!

I believe Ella is probably right. I groom dogs and we express anal glands all the time. Not something I would recommend that you try unless you have done it before. Kind of gross. Get your vet to do it for you, or your groomer if you have one.

Her mother never taught he how to clean herself. Wash her butt after she poos and she will learn the proper way to clean herself. Or, ask you vet.

I was just gonna say something like "worms". I had an aunt that had a dog that did that. It just needs medicine. It is quite common, easily cured, and no problem when the vet gives the right medicine. :)
