Ok recently i discovered I am kind of a nudist -kind of as in i like being naked just not around people i dont know- ive talked to my best friend about my decision to go naked now around my house and he thinks that this is a great idea cause he sees i enjoy it and it makes me happier, but he doesnt want me to be naked when hes over hanging with me. That may sound like not a big deal but to me it is.I asked him if i could go naked and he said no. I asked if i could just wear boxers and he said no. I asked if i could go shirtless and he said no. I think its ok for guys to not be fully clothed all the time. In the locker room we change and sometimes shower, at the pool were shirtless/ haf naked, and if were outside and its hot alot of times we take are shirt off. My friend says that we have reasons during those times tho but i dont see how that makes a difference, your still seeing a guy not fully clothed. He says its uncomfortable for him to see a guy naked anytime and its even

uncomfortable for his to see a guy half naked when they dotn have a reason (like locker room or pool) i dont understnad my friends way of thinking. Most guys are comfortable being at least shirtless around each other. What are your thoughts on this?

Nothing wrong with nudity. But when it's compulsive, and you really really want to be naked in front of your buddy, you've crossed the street away from normality.

Because some people have nothing or too much to show. I was at the pool two days ago in the Turkish bath in Budapest. A 80 plus year old man wearing a speedo was walking back and forth in front of me while we were sunning on the roof and looking at the city. The main problem was he had rolled down his speedo to where half his butt was sticking out, not a pretty sight. There was also a heavy women in an ill fitting bikini bottom laying on a lounge chair across from my husband. He turned his chair around because the view was horrible, she could of done well in a suit a size smaller and with a bottle of nair hair remover.

I am a nudist at a nude spa. I don't know many of the people there, and none are connected to situations where I might meet them in "the real world". I like being nude, but I would been somewhat uncomfortable knowing how people I know looks naked!!
Hope this helps.

You're probably not the only nudist in your neighborhood...
So, you could seek others and be nude with them. With a little luck you'll make new best friends who don't have a problem with it.
In the meanwhile stay dressed when you're with the friend that finds it difficult.
Personally I wouldn't mind how you want to dress when you should be with me, but... for some it's like all their familymembers constantly dress as Crusty the clown.
Indeed, it's his problem... but a little consideration towards best friends is never a bad thing, as far as they don't start running your life. I guess... your friend is already quite openminded about your wish btw.

Most replies have stated that you should not force others to accept your nudity and as guests in your house you should respect their wishes. However, surely they are in reality imposing their will on you and deciding how you should behave in your own home. Following this logic you should be free to be nude as a guest in their home and they should go around nude to make you feel at ease! I believe there are two types of guests: those you make a special effort for, by tidying the house, providing a good meal and generally pampering to their wishes and those who just accept you as you are and feel free to call unannounced. I am sure that most would prefer to fall into the later category.

Tracy Terry is right. Great you are a nudist. My wife and I are but you do not force it on anyone just like you do not want people to force you to quit the nudist lifestyle. Respect is most important.

it depends on how good a friend he is.Obviously he is uncomfortable around men nude which is not a uncommon thing. As I said before if you value his friendship I would put aside the "being in the nude" issue and put the friendship first. Good friends are hard to find.

yeah, i can see where your somming from. around the house i usually wear shorts and a bra because i'm mosr comfy that way... and i know alot of other people do.
i know alot of guys (mostly those who run crossocuntry) who walk around all the time in short shorts and no shirt... i think your friend may just feel awkward. kinda like how some people feel around homosexuals...

Respect your friend. It won't hurt you to wear clothes. It obviously makes him uncomfortable if you don't. What is the problem? He probably thinks you are coming on to him.

If he is a guest in your home your job, as host, is to make him feel welcome and comfortable. It doesn't matter if you don't understand why he doesn't feel comfortable you need to respect his wishes. I have to say though, I am by no means a prude and if I went to one of my girlfriends houses' and they were walking around naked I would leave.
