I like this statement because some people cling to a religion without putting much thought into it, they claim it but don't really incorporate it into their lives. And I agree, true and mindful spirituality is often discovered through difficult experiences or intense pursuits. To a spiritual person, religion is often incorporated into their spirituality, but on a more meaningful basis, it becomes a part of who they are, they find the real meaning of religion and spirituality. What I don't like about it is that it fuels the fire for some who think that anyone who claims a religion must not be a "real thinker" or a person with real and practical experiences. But I don't think that is the meaning of this statement, because in that same manner, people often cling to other forms of spirituality, or atheism, without any real thought or understanding put into that viewpoint either.

Heeheehee!!! Darth is SO right! Jack B. was trying to use a "working class" accent, but he sounded more like an Irish pirate, and NOT an "Aussie manly man"!!
I don't think we should "blame" Jack--we should actually THANK him. It started a new round of games on here that will no doubt provide an abundance of good times!!
Aaarrggghh!!! **Buys a round of rum for all pirates & wenches**

I agree with you. Many who answer questions in the religion & spirituality catagory don't care about answering serious questions. Y/A ought to come up with a button to completely remove an answer we don't like and at the time, take away those points from the person who responded with a dumb answer.

are....See,I'm a lousy pirate...I got kicked out of pirate school as they were not into Bonsai Trees and quite often made sport of me. In my opinion however, my avatar would look quite stricking on the front face, of a box of Cap'n Crunch.
