My husband rescued a kitten last night. She has an extended belly (I assume from her not eating) which she is eating now, and she has yet to use the bathroom once in about 20 hours. She was in bad shape, absolutely covered in fleas, but we bathed her and she clean. She looks to be 4 weeks old. When she is layed on her back a small what seems to be air bubble pops out in the lower part of her abdomen, and it is about the size of the tip of my pinki finger. It is soft and gives easily. What could it be? Please no useless comments.

We plan on taking her in asap. I have other cats who are one flea control and the kitten is currently wearing a collar.

I really have no idea what the 'bubble' could be, but she's probably distended because she's got intestinal worms. You should take her to your veterinarian and have her dewormed. And are you sure she hasn't used the bathroom? Try stimulating her like her mother would (use a warm, damp cloth and wipe her backend until she urinates/defecates). As for the fleas, they're a serious problem in kittens (and adult cats, too!) so you'll need to start her on a monthly flea treatment as soon as she's old enough. Our clinic recommends Revolution for cats/kittens, Frontline and Advantage don't work anymore, and nothing from the grocery store EVER worked. Anyway, Revolution will also prevent/treat heartworm (which cats CAN get!), earmites, and roundworms. I guess all I can really do is reiterate that your little kitten needs a trip to the vet for a checkup!

sounds like a hernia. It may be the muscles haven't covered umbilical cord, and a little bit of intestine pops up. This needs to be fixed. A Vet will operate and sew the muscles over the void. then its fine. needs to be fixed before it gets a strangulated hernia which is a loop of intestine gets pushed out the void and the muscles trap it while sticking out, not a good thing

could be worms. could have an injury that separated her skin from the body wall allowing it to fill with air. could have an infection so her tummy is full of fluid.
