I just potty trained my son and daughter.
I like an approach where I don't have to pressure or push my child. I think it really helps boys to pee standing up so they can see what is happening and connect the sensations.
What worked for me was The Potty Stool http://www.thepottystool.com I started by just setting it at the toilet. My kids immediately climbed up on the stool and discovered that they could safely and securely use the toilet. This got them very interested in using the toilet and they were potty trained very quickly. Kids like to use what they know mommy and daddy use.
I like that I don't have to double the steps of potty training by training them first in a potty and then training them to stop using a potty. And not dumping and cleaning a potty each time is great. The best thing is that kids use it for years. I hope this helps you

omigod does that bring back memories. my lips still perse at the thot bt i can atleast smile when i read or hear my child wasnt the only one. (not making lite of your situation!)
my honey and i TRIED EVERYTHING possible and finally came to the point of no return. it is not child abuse!
pants didnt work for us, putting the diaper on bkwds didnt work either, but (are ya ready?) DUCT TAPE did! put diaper on normally but have clear packing tape or duct tape available. not just a swatch here and a swatch there but im talking all the way around! you may need help from your partner to hold the child's arms up or even still but put the diaper on normal then apply atleast 1 layer if not 2 around the childs diaper band loosly but snug enough that they wont be able to wiggle out if it. one layer didnt work for us b/c our son would i guess lay there and play w/it until he found the end so we had to go to 2 layers and make sure the end was in the back. actuall duct tape was too easy too for him to work the end loose so clear packing tape worked best. it wasnt tight or pinching him in any way but enforcing the whole issue of 'this stays where it belongs'
our son was 2 when he finally surcumbed to potty trainng. so we had quite a few interresting things happen in just 2 years for us to go to such extremes. we hadnt had to change his diaper in the middle of the night since he was like 3 or 4 months old so if you are still doing that it will be a bit harder come 2am when you are half asleep. but if not-pick your jaw up off the floor and give it a try. like i said-it isnt child abuse...he never had a mark on him and neither did the sheets (lol)
good luck and remember-more to come when potty training has already been done but teaching them to watch where they "p" and not talk at the same time is another battle-we are living with that now and he will be 4 soon.

put the onesies on and pants and place a piece of grey duct tape over the diaper tapes. and get up a little earlier and check on them before you go to bed and make sure diapers are on.
pampers makes a diaper with no tapes called easy ups try those also.
the 2 year olds start toilet training and use pull ups instead

I like the backwards idea but I don't think that would work with my son becuase he pee's and FILLS the right place in the diaper. I would have to suggest putting onsies on them that go down to thier feet. If you are in hot area like me that wouldn't work, but it might if you are in a cooler area. This might sound silly but they have those swim diapers where there is no velcro spot, if you put the normal diaper on then one of the swim diapers on top it might keep them from being able to pull the first one off. Good luck!

I have done the backwards thing also. But my first(now 15) is a little "figure it out" kind of person, so that didnt last long. I stared getting him different outfits, and even had to tape them on. Now i see you said you tried potty training since that the obvious thing, and mine was ready so im not sure what else to tell you..Maybe try what i did. Good Luck!

a lot of infants try this, I even have been to pals residences and places I had to artwork at. And the youngsters might all of sudden only drop off their shorts or diapers and commence working bare. Or they might enable them to run bare while basically the mother and dad have been homestead and no person else. this is a organic urge for people, being born as such, whether of direction is illegitimate in public. additionally many adults walk bare of their homestead at morning and night... presented it is not in front of an open door or window. jogs my memory of a existence time action picture a number of years in the past... the place women people have been sued for this same situation... It replaced into judged that this is particularly situations ok see you later because it is not in public, and not exploited. Use hassle-unfastened experience, and in a three hundred and sixty 5 days or 2,, advise them to improve out of this.

I had the same problem with my son! My husbands answer Duct Tape. I laughed at first. But I tired of the mess, he thought poo was hair gel. I would wrap the tape all the way around the diaper twice like a belt. It worked great. Trust me I tried everything. Good Luck!

All of my boys did the same thing. At night, I put them in full sleepers but I put them on backward (I cut the feet off the footed ones). My twins learned to unzip each other, so I ended up safety pinning them in (with the safety pin on the inside). I then found out that a sleeper with a button up shirt on backward over it was the best ince they couldn't unbutton the shirt.
Good luck.

Wow. First of all, hats off to you for having 3 children that young and sounding pretty sane!
Second, have you tried putting the diapers on backwards? I had to do that with my son a few times. He couldn't get it off.
Good luck!
