It is not so easy to file a harassment charge on any one you feel like, because if you are proved innocent or case is dismissed because of lack of evidence, than she better start saying her prayers. I think she is warning you, so that you stay away from her. Grown ups do it but they end no where, only tension and stress.
On the contrary you can counter sue, and damages etc. best is both of you behave yourself, OK, and stay out of trouble, before your parents come to know. I know you will not like my crude answer, but you will swallow this bitter pill.

Yes, you can go to jail for harassment; however there are not enough details in your question to determine if in this case .. you'd be in danger.
As a general rule it is never a good idea to call the ex especially when you are currently in the position they once were in.
I wish you well.

I don't think there are laws against harrassment. There are laws against threatening to beat people up or otherwise harm them. Did you do that?
PS: Don't call your boyfriend's ex - just a bad idea all around.

if the victim felt that she/he was in danger at anytime and warned you or not... they may file harassment charges and take it to the next step of signing an actual complaint and proceed with a restraining order... if contact continues, then you will get a warrent served on you, if officers can find you and then you will go to jail....

Based on the circumstances you just gave...she has no case at all. Harrassment needs to have repeated, documented incidents.

Yes, you can be arrested for harassment if it's deemed the act you comitted is in fact harassing in nature. You have to be told that the communication you made was unwanted, and if you continue, then you can be charged.

Well if you weren't a jerk to her, you have nothing to worry about, I'd think. If she recorded the conversation, it will be up to either a judge or a jury to determine if you had malicious intent. But if you acted normal, nothing to fear.

All depends on where you live. there are several laws against harassment and several different variations of harassment. Where I am from, one call does not constitute harassment.
Do not call her again!
