I'd say they wouldn't exactly get a bottle of HEINZ tomato juice and pour it into the mixture. However, they would most probably use tomatoes from the same supplier and put in similar ingredients.

Unlikely. The two products are most likely produced in two different plants. Although I'm not positive, there is a chance that the tomatoes used for the juice are either different in type or quality from the ketchup tomatoes.
Definitely a high quality stupid question. I'm proud of it and I specialize in stupid questions.

Heinz buys tomatoes, processes them to remove seeds & skins. The remaining pulp is cooked with other ingrdeients to make ketsup. I'm not sure how they produce thier tomatoe juice. It could be steam extracted.

Heintz doesn't use one product to make another product. They use different grades of tomatoes to make their different products. Ketchup & Tomato Juice are made from raw tomatoes with additional ingredients in each. Read the labels on the cans or containers.

No tomato juice is to thin for ketchup. They use the same tomatoes to make both however.

i do not know for sure but i would say no.i think they use different types of tomatoes for different products to get the taste and consistency desired.it makes sense to me.good luck.
