Appetizer or dessert? on which do your prefer to "waist" calories?

I very rarely eat either one, I consider a salad as an appetizer.

So if we were out, and someone ordered a desert, I might have a taste, but would spend my calories on a really good main meal.

Hi:

It just depends on what my mood is. I rarely eat an appetizer at home, and rarely really eat what I would call a dessert at home either. I just like either when I go out, but probably not both at one meal, unless I just want a taste of something when I'm in a bigger group. Hope this helps.

For myself, dessert. The challenge is that for my husband, it's the appetizer. We usually end up getting both. We share both, but he eats the bulk of the appetizer, and I eat the bulk of the dessert. It actually works out okay.

Well I like to start off dinner with a slice of triple chocolate mousse smothered in whipped cream or about a half dozen Ice cream perfiteroles as an appetizer.

Then after the entree, I enjoy some pita bread wedges with either spinach artichoke dip or a fresh babaganough or maybe some fried calamari as a pallette cleanser and digestif.

So it's really hard to say, I'll have to think about that over dinner tonight. We're having bacon and eggs!

Appetizers for me in both cases. Fried, fatty, spicy, whatever, they're all good. I don't have a sweet tooth either.
