A couple of things are probably going on here. 1 Someone else in jail with her told her that it is the smartest thing to do. 2 If it was at an arraignment the next morning she could have still been drunk. 3 It allows the court to set bail, if she plead guilty she would have gone straight to jail. 4 It gives her time to figure out what she is going to do , maybe enter a diversion program of some sort. I hope she gets it together ! One more thing she can still ask for a public defender.

Probably because they realize that it is charge that they are not going to be able to win. Better just to accept the charge and avoid all the additional court fees.

I have been saying for many many years that 90% of our population are idiots I guess this person is in that 90%.
