Yes, & it was kinda hard to tell. We were cleaning up the mess he made after blowing turn 11 at The Glen during a Busch race.
He was kinda rattled, but otherwise fine.

Jimmie Johnson does a lot through the Jimmie Johnson foundation. Seems like him and Chandra are always helping underprivileged children.

Yep, a long time ago on a track far, far away... Cajon speedway. He was just a kid and had already made quite a name for himself. Cajon's gone now -- the folks on the hill complained enough that when it came time to renew the lease, Bruckner wasn't allowed and they bulldozed the track in.

I met him in 1997, before he was famous. He was racing off-road trucks at Glen Helen Raceway in california. It was his last off-road race before switching to stock cars in ASA. I was 13, me and my dad waited like 20 minutes in the rain to get his autograph. He signed my shirt, program and gave me an 8 X 10 of his truck. Really cool guy. We knew he was gonna be good, but we didn't know he'd be a Nextel Cup champ, and win Daytona, the Brickyard and the Coke 600.
