I was given a ticket going 80 in a 65. I was one of only two cars on the road, it was late at night and yes, I was sober. This would be my second ticket ever -- my record is clean, and I'd like to keep it that way....does anyone know a way to reduce or fix the ticket? (I've already done traffic school, so I'm not eligible).

If I can get it reduced with a lawyer, does anyone know one? It's a civil speeding ticket, please help!

All a lawyer is gonna do is cost you a ton of money.

You can't get it reduced or points removed if you can not attend defensive driving school again yet. You used that option already too recently.

Only chance you have is to go to make a court date, go in and maybe the officer won't show... chances are he will. And if this is a Laser case, forget it.. as long as all of his paper work is up to date and the machine was with in the proper calibration time frames, the judge is going to rule in your favor.

But, the judge may give you reduced fine... and then slam you with court costs. So you lose again.

All a lawyer will do is charge you $150 bucks to go on your behalf. If the officer shows, they will change your plea to Nolo and you get slammed with the fine, court cost and the attorney fee. The only thing the $150 bucks does is pay for them to go to court for you.

Sorry, but your best bet in this case is just eat the ticket. Pay it, slow down and move on with your life.

As I understand it, in Arizona going 20 MPH over the limit in a business or residential district is already a Class 3 Misdemeanor. What you would want to do is have it reduced to an infraction. However, since you were going 30 MPH over, I don't know about a reduction. I recommend speaking to an attorney.

The state of Arizona will not reduce the ticket in anyway. We are trying to cut down on speeders in our state. If you have not had traffic school in the last two years then you may attend the school.

Contest the ticket and try to convince the judge that you didn't mean it........You could say for example, that you didn't realize you pushed the gas that hard.............contest it as best as you can.

If you're not successful then you'll still pay the same ticket so there is no harm in trying.

Maybe you should slow the F*** down. If you can't do that, then you need to grow up and learn to accept your punishment.
