CONGRESS AND THE PRESIDENT AUTHORIZE A DRAFT. A crisis occurs which requires more troops than the volunteer military can supply. Congress passes and the President signs legislation which starts a draft. It should be noted that the President cannot initiate a draft on his own. Congress would first have to pass legislation (both the House and Senate), and the President would have to sign the bill into law.

There is no draft. And you are not medically fit for the service. If you thought that was a way back in, I would have to say sorry man.

The military draft in the United States was discontinued in the 1970's. You cannot be drafted unless Congress re-establishes it as law. I wouldn't hold my breath to be drafted, the opposition to it in this country would be phenomenal under any conditions other than possibly a universal service act.

I don't think you will be drafted because you need to be in perfect health to go t war and you have a lung problem so they are not gonna pick u or draft u.

slim to none.. they'd bring you in for a physical.. but you wouldnt pass it.. so you'd be fine and wouldnt get drafted. Once medical discharged.. they probably wouldnt even bring you back for a physical if we did have a draft.
