Why is it that American citizens get so riled up about illegal immigrants "freeloading" off the system?

I mean, seriously, what have you done to "earn" the benefits of our government's tax money? Unless you are some kind of public servant (i.e. soldier, police officer, teacher, etc.), you're no less a freeloader than an illegal immigrant. You were just lucky enough to be born here.

Illegal ALIENS don't belong in the country, much less receiving benefits that WE paid from our tax money. Our taxes are paid for citizens and legal immigrants. Nobody else.

P.S. I am retired military, but I don't have any more rights as a citizen than anybody else. Illegal aliens HAVE no rights as a citizen.

Wow, wake up! Are you 9 years old and living with your parents? Or are you an extremely rich person with no worry about expenses? Listen most people send their kids to public school. In situations where there was once 1 teacher per 20 to 25 kids, now there is 1 teacher to 45 -50 students.
Hello? Are the children of American tax payer's getting the same individual personal contact with their teacher's as they once did and are still paying for? What about the $50 Billion+ spend on medical treatments and prescriptions for these illegals-who get everything for free at our taw payer's expense? I can barely get by paying a $651 monthly insurance premuim every month for myself here In NY, regardless if I even visit a doctor or purchase any medications.
Since Illegals use Hospital Emergency rooms for all of their services, ER's are closing down all over the Country- due to the fact the Medicaid only reimburses a percentage of the bill and the illegals obviously don't pay anything. In fact in Californis alone close to 600 Hospitals have closed their ER's due to their profit margin loses. So imagine is an American having a heart attack or some other emergency would survive if the hospital was were it used to be 10 minutes from their home but now dies because the nearest emergency room is now located 35 minutes away?
My best friend works as an EMT on a ambulance and he told me that last week some undocumented illegals (he himself is a US citizen originally from South America) call 911 for an ambulance and crew arrived, the problem was that their small baby had been crying alot!" In it out of control! do you know how much it cost each time an emergency ambulance is used? Forget about the other American who may need to be picked up quickly, but can't due to many of the available EMT units servicing other so called emergencies.
It get worse did you know the the Federal Governments housing assitance programs including section-8 housing, do not require the person receiving this American tax payer money to show prooff of citizenship? Therefore, in effect may of the illegals in our country live here rent free at ouir expense! Even more shocking is that these programs continue over into the areas of discount 1st time mortgages and assistance in paying the monthy mortgage payment programs, none of which are available to struggeling middleclass American who actrually fund these programs
In fact just last week, someone in congress proposed a bill stating from now on, after 47 years of federal housing assistance, the person will now need to state he is an American Citizen. After all this time??? How could thins not have been included in the program from the beginning?. Regardless- the bill hasn't even passed and who knows if it ever will.
It is beyond frustrating that people like yourself are so in the dark concerning the big picture. All of this money could and should be used to improve the lives of Americans. Last our Country granted citizenship to over 4,000 foreign nationals- far more than any other country on the planet! Sadely there are people all over the world who given an opportunity would love to be in the USA- the fact is that we can not afford it and should not sacrifice to support it. These people need to use their energy to stand up in their own countries and demand those in power make there land a better place to live-not come here and freelaod off of middle class Americans Please do some research, the lives of thevast majority of Americans is not improving as time passes, like has always been the case throught out of Nation's histiory

Our families built this country and left it to us as we build and leave assets to our children. I have paid in more to the system than my family will take out, yet find out that my children's schools are unacceptable due to overcrowding and draining of services to educate those illegally here. Granted LAUSD is the worst hit of any school district, this should not be allowed.

And regarding SS, it all goes into deficit the instant they become legally able to get funds. They came young, but will all age, and given their economic demographic will be taking much more than they ever paid in. Those of us who paid in all of our working lives, however, will not see social security payments. There are studies on this, as well.

Plus, with education costing $10,000 per child per year in California, they are using far more than they pay in anywhere, every year. You can't take the federal programs in a vacuum when most of the costs are at the state and local level.

While you're are right that their conservative views are exagerations, you are wrong to call the average hard working American a freeloader. You are lying and making excuses for millions of people to come here, break the law, and refuse to assimilate. Refusing to assimilate amounts to an invasion and everyone reacts to that differently. And by the way, undocumented people ARE being handed benefits I'm denied every year even though I'm qualified and have to threaten a discrimination complaint/suit to get.

I work
I go to college (out of pocket)
I take care of my children (with no help from the tax payers)
I feed my children (with no help from the tax payers)
I do not get free health care from ERs and health departments
I do my own yard work and house work
AND yes some of my ancestors where Native American Indians

um well i am a vet but that doesn't mean jack the fact is I pay taxes that's what I've done to earn the benefits? what kinda question is that. heck I even payed more taxes than you know because I just went though a big ordeal with three illegals using my social I actually had to go to court because one was receiving food stamps and they tried to make me pay them back.

Well, I'm 45 years old, have been working(and I mean WORKING) since I was 16, and my wife is 41, and has been working since she was 17. Our youngest daughter is disabled and requires extensive therapy, therapy that nonlegals get free, but we have been told she doesn't qualify for because she is "non-minority". Our savings for a better house and our kids' college funds have been wiped out since she was born. This is the "Social Security" my wife and I have paid into for over half our lives. Angry? Aggressive? Bitter? You bet we are. If someone decides what I've just posted here violates "community guidelines", then I'll just leave Yahoo to the yahoos. Period.

There are a few people who get benefits and who deserve them who are really unable to work, BUT that is certainly not the illegal aliens. Let oil-rich Mexico take care of them.
