Hi my 2 co-workers friends they own a PS3 & they say that the Blu-ray on the PS3, that the picture movie they look like if your watching a regular DVD but with sharper picture? And it's better to buy a blu-ray player instead the PS3? The both have 300,Casino Royal, & The prestige? Is that true.
PS And yes they do have HDTV & with 1080i.

thats exactly what it is "A DVD WITH SHARPER PICTURE" you said it yourself in you question.
They may not have the right hookups and settings on their PS3. You have to change you VIDEO OUTPUT in the DISPLAY SETTINGS MENU. Switch it to HDMI/Component A/V and the PS3 will then send its signal in 720i/720p or 1080i/1080p.

No. I don't think that it is true. I own an HDTV and the maximum resolution is only 1080i. I have Casino Royale. It doesn't look like watching a regular DVD. I really want to get an HDTV with resolutions up to 1080p. 1080p might look better than 1080i, so that might be the problem. Or they just hooked it up wrong.

that's cause they're in 1080i. I have mine in 1080p hooked in via the hdmi output. believe me, you can see the difference.

mine looks amazing its probably just they dont have it set up right or they just arent use to how it looks cuz dvds have been around so long
