As Vanessa stated, you cannot get an American Passport unless you are an AMERICAN CITIZEN, which you are not at this time.

However, as a PERMANENT RESIDENT of the USA, you can enter Canada with your green card and passport from country of origin.

If you have problems entering Canada with these documents, it will be for other reasons, such as criminal background, lack of financial resources, suspicion of entering to stay without the proper documents, etc.

you cannot get an american passport if you are not an american citizen. since you mentioned you only have a permanent resident card, it means your status in the US is just an immigrant, not a citizen. there is no way you can get an american passport unless you're an american citizen.

i've answered your questions lots of times already... yet you still don't get it.

ALL YOU NEED IS YOUR GREEN CARD AND YOUR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN PASSPORT.

why don't you check the canadian government website so you get all the information you can get. that way, you don't go asking all these questions that were already answered before.
