Yeah well what about the FOUR STAR GENERAL that says we are.. and well if those 7 US soldiers dont have very much rank.. nobody is listening to them anyway. Atleast not on the military side. I dont think we're really making much progress because of all the media. If the media would get out of the middle east.. then we could do what we had to do to end this. But they bring stuff into it like.. "oh that's inhumane" and blah blah blah. It's almost like saying.. the military isnt at war.. the media is at war with our enemy. We arent allowed to do a LOT of things.. and even if it was the right thing to do at the time.. we could go to prison for it if it gets out in the media. I think the media should just butt out and let us do our job and come back safe. The media obviously wants us to come back and stop fighting over there, so if they'd just stop for a freaking year.. maybe the war would be over faster.. because we wouldnt have to worry about stupid sh** like PROTECTING THEM WHILE THEY DECIDE TO COME TO A WAR ZONE! I'm sorry but i dont feel a bit sorry for the news reporters that get killed in iraq. They should have just stayed in the US and let the pros do it. The military is highly trained to take this stuff on, they arent.. and then they're so sad when their reporter gets killed. But i do think we've made some progress since we've been there. After all.. my post is so much more built up than a little over a year ago when my NCO was here. So that's some progress.

It boils down to: Do you believe the soldiers, who were there, or the corporate media, who profits from the war? What, exactly, do the soldiers gain by revealing what they say is the truth? Are we living in an era when the "truth" is too hard to accept so we must conceal it? Isn't that a shame?

Well...If 7 soldiers say we aren't making progress, and reading the countless deaths in Iraq each day don't convince the naysayers, nothing will.
Imo, there's been absolutely no progress made in Iraq, if anything, it's just the opposite. And my opinion is based on the actual news and media reports.

NY Times?
I would say the 7 so called soldiers have never been to Iraq or been in the army. Most likely it is not 7 but 1 or 2 jerks.

We have made some progress in that deaths and attacks are way down, but the way to really "win" in Iraq is by getting a strong govt and military that is supported by the people, or by setting up another dictator like Saddam. That is not happening, so things look really bad. Let's set a time-table for withdrawal and get it over with!

It is 7 and there is over 160,000 in Iraq at this moment. How about you tell NY Times to do a poll on all the troops in Iraq and then we will find out what the real deal is.

Media is controlled by government entities!!! Government wants this war because it means big bucks as long as we OCCUPY Iraq. Soldiers want to come HOME. this war was fabricated by a government that wants to occupy oil rich countries. A government that lies to it's peopleA government that allowed so called "terrorists" attacks to claim 3000 peoples lives that supported the same government that murdered them. The only progress that's being made is the fulfillment of our big governments plans...A prolonged war to gain major profits and point us in the direction of complete control....
To Hell with BUSH!!!
To Hell with His Regime!!!
NO to the NWO....

The left wing liberal loonies, for the past several weeks, have been acknowledging that the US is winning the war. People who have been there recently, such as Dodd and Biden. Check the socialist Times to see if you can find any references to their statements.
If the newspaper interviews all 170,000 soldiers, in front of witnesses, and prints what was said, I will consider reading the article.

wow 7 soldiers I am sure they are abreast to everything going on I remember when i was in how the generals use to come brief me on the situation before he briefed the president.
and 7 out of over 100k i can see how you take this as iron clad evidence.
Oh yeah before you tell me how unamerican i am i served was wounded and am now permanitly disabled and will spend the rest of my life in pain. but i believe in the mission there and would do it all over again even knowing the end result for me.

Most troops are against the war they just don't publish it. The majority of America is against the war, the soldiers fighting it are against the war...gee I wonder what we should do.
