Yeah, you'll have to.

The mannerisms of deaf people can be construed as rude if people are not prepared.

Example, you are in a loud crowded room, he is talking and you are just smiling, nodding your head because you can't understand what he is saying. Probably not a lot of chance for a second date, even if you wanted one.

Break it them now, it's your personalities that made you click obviously, take it from there.

Besides, he/she may know ASL which would be a bonus....:)

Of course! Is there any doubt about how awkward it would be, otherwise! You don;'t plan on bringing your laptop on the date do you? LOL And, I suggest you put the fact that you are deaf right into your profile and then prospective dates will already know.

I would only because it would hurt me more if I showed up and he has a look on his face like he wants to leave. But then again, if you show up and show him that being deaf doesn't mean you can't have fun and talk, you might find that he can handle it.

When I met my husband, I told him before hand that I was hard of hearing. At first he was unsure of how to handle me. But he grew to love me and viola, hes my husband and we have a daughter.

whats the point if you not honest with the person before hand... i guess that you not just after one blind date... it will be just one date if you not honest with your date before hand... tell him before the date and see what happens.. if this person is not accepting then he/she is a looser anyway but be honest about your situation...

good luck!

Yes, I think that would be a good idea so that they can prepare for meeting you. Otherwise things might be a little hard and akward.

well that might be kind of important. they could prepare themselves and think of how they will communicate with you. i dont think anyone would cancel the date just because of that. but it really is important that they know.

I think you should. I think that he might feel uncomfortable once he meets you because he may not know how to sign.
