exe errors how do i cure them?

i'm getting update.exe has caused and error also ptedit has caused an error iexplorer.exe has caused an error.any ideas how i cure this please bear in mind i'm no computer whizz kid..thanks

The Exe part of a program is most essential. If this is something you downloaded, it must be a bad program. I would never try it again. Otherwise if it is a program you have on the original disk, try it.
