you need to add hardware to your computer, an analog video capture card. this will either plug-in to an internal bus, or use the USB or iLink port. most likely this will come bundled with capture software to covert to windows AVI file type. capture is very intensive of computer power, do not try to run other background programs when doing this or you will suffer "dropped frames". these are not intended to make your computer into a TV set, but rather capture for use by windows media player or editing software after the coversion is complete.
