I bought a standard saver return to Bristol on friday, to return within a month, but cant go now, Will BR refund my ticket? Also I got it from a smaller station, which may not have its ticket office open over the weekend, so I may not be able to get it cancelled and refunded till tuesday. Will that affect refund? i didnt reserve seats or book any specific train.
Hope someone can help.

British Rail does not exist!! If you bought a ticket to Bristol, maybe it was Virgin or Arriva ? One of the many private companies that run trains, you need to read the terms and conditions, you should be able to get a refund.

This may be possible if you can prove it wasn't used. I have had to refund my ticket before (bought on the day though, not advance). try and get to any larger station asap to see if poss. Worth a try!!

You need to have a look at the conditions, probably on the back of the ticket. I can't see it happening to be honest.
