I love how so many give credit to God for things that are simply the result of personal perseverence/hard work, luck, modern medicine, or coincidence.

I have. Lot's of times.
An example....My husband and I didn't know what our calling was, so we started praying and seeking the Lord about it.

He answered us in many different ways. First, the Pastor asked us to come to the Youth Group service and a couple of the teens were asking us to lead the youth group. We were like "No, Way!". We weren't sure if we could even do something like that. Anyway, back then we would visit different churches on nights we didn't have anything at our church and all the sermons were on stepping up to the calling that God has on your life and so on. Every sermon we heard on the radio was that also. God was really speaking to us to lead the youth group. There were also other ways too. So anyway, we decided that we would visit the youth group and see what it was all about. We fell in love with the kids, totally felt at home, we have peace about it. We started leading the youth group shortly after that and didn't hear any more sermons on that. It was totally God! He spoke to us in His still small voice on many different occasions.

God answers prayer, but it's in His timing. We are so used to having everything right now (microwave miracles) that we don't want to wait for His time.

Yes, I have received answers to many prayers. Here are some examples:

that I do my best as a teacher
that He help my students to have a good day at school (He answers that every day)
that He help me to know that I am loved
that He help my sister be free from pain (He did)

I could go on. Is this enough t suit you?

1988 Jacksonville, FL.
I dropped my mom at the airport, had been driving all of 10 days...had to take 95 south back to high school. Lanes got confusing, and I was in an exit only...with no re-entry...no signs. I panicked and said out loud, "Lord God, please give me directions to get back on the espressway."
In a few seconds, I heard a calm voice in my head. It said,
"Go up two blocks to Maddison, turn left. 7-11 on the corner, signs for 95 south, turn left again."

I followed the directions, indeed the second streetup was Maddison, and as the light was red, I looked left and right to see a 7-11...and doubt came..."Turn right, you have to go right to catch the expressway again..."
but I turned left, saw the 7-11, and right infront of it was the signs for 95...I dod have to make a left to get back on, as it cloverleafed around and southward.

I say God answers prayers.
(not silly ones for a million dollars...cause I've prayed that
and am still waiting to hear a yes to that one..hahaha.
but in life or death matters, I know He makes a differnce.
Too many friends of mine have been saved by malfunctioning guns, people who were violent suddenly falling asleep,
and mean intentioned ones, changing their minds.)

He lives...and because he is, so do i.

Hugs,
TJ

All the time. Sometimes the answers are no. If you just ask and don't wait for an answer, I can see how you don't think there is one. When you have the Gift of the Holy Ghost, you are better able to hear and understand the message.

Yes, one time I needed 100.00 to pay my electric bill and that was like a 1,000.00 back in the early 70's. I read in the bible how King Hezekiah in the book of Kings laid a threatening letter he got from the King of Assyria before the Lord and said, "This is your battle. I give this threat to you." So I got on my knees and I laid the bill out before me and said,"Lord, this is your bill. Please pay it for me." And 2 days later I received a check in the mail from a distant relative for exactly 100.00!! No one knew that I couldn't pay my bills or even how much I needed and that is the honest truth. When I called her to thank her for the money and asked her what made her send it, she said, "I don't know. I just got a whim to send you 100.00." But I knew why she got that whim. That is just one example of many times the Lord has answered my prayers because I believe in His Son Jesus.
