There was no Jesus. The myth of jesus arose out of astrology, along with the dozens of other prior myths about a man, born of a virgin, who died on the cross, and was resurrected after 3 days. If jesus really lived, then where is the historical record.? You would think that there would be some mention of him by the vast majority of the hundreds of historians that lived at, or soon after his supposed birth. But there isn't. Why? Because he never existed. The entire christian faith is built on plagarism and astrology, but the bible does offer some metaphorical insights into how we should live. Personally, I prefer the writings of Kant, Aristotle, and Mills for guidance through life.

I might suggest reading the new testament, it is in the bible. The story of Jesus and all his good work can be found there. He healed the blind, broken hearted, and helped the lost. But most important he went to the cross for man kind and died a sinner all though he had never sinned. He did this to pay the price for all man kind so that we can have a lasting relationship with God once again. So yeah I might suggest you read the bible to see it will help you out, its better than yahoo answers.

Yes I think I'm joining the rest of you, much to my hubby's annoyance as he used to hog the computer now he has to share it, but to tell you how sad I was I printed out answers to a question people had answered after we had cut and pasted the answers to keep you all anonymous, and took it to work to hang in the loo, as this was a problem from there we now have more people on the site.

He preached the word of God. He taught good things that everybody should respect and live by. He taught us how to respect and love everyone as equals. He died for our sins so that we could have everlasting life. Just read the New Testament. You will see numerous instances of how Jesus was good and how He is still good to us to this day.
