Throwing up does not, of itself, help one lose weight, if by "weight" you mean fat. What happens is that throwing up food is, essentially, the same as not eating it in the first place. The biggest difference is that partially digested food, coming back up the esophagus brings up some of the digestive acids from the stomach. These acids do damage to tissues not meant to be exposed to the acids. Repeated damage leads to more severe injury and leaves the tissues vulnerable to infections which can be life threatening. So, on a balance, a person would do better NOT to eat the food, in the first place, rather than regurgitate it.

There can't be a lot of pros. I guess some would be: You get to party hardy and eat and drink all you want and not gain weight. You feel like you are in control (you really aren't, but at first you feel that way) All the latest clothes look really hot on you.
The cons would be: Sooner or later you realize that your body has "learned" to purge after eating and you find you can't stop. You feel weak, exhausted, and depressed. No matter how much weight you lose, it's never quite enough. No matter how thin you are, in your mind you are still "fat". Your body is in a constant state of crisis, trying to balance your electrolytes and keep your kidneys working. Repeated exposure to vomitus erodes your tooth enamel and you end up with rotten, painful teeth.

To be honest, there are no long term healthy reasons for blowing chunks.
For a start, Vomiting is only used as an extreme measure to rid the body of something it doesnt want. I.e: Rotten food, foreign objects, or through disease and illness as a side effect of a condition such as gastroenteritis reflux.
The stomach lining can become irritated, the body can become malnourished and weakened, the throats skin can become sore and raw from the constant flow of stomach acid passing through it. The teeth can become full of cavities as the acid breaks through the enamel.
You can get a long term reflux problem leading to poor digestion and even automatic expulsion of food even when the eater wants to keep it down. Dramatic and sudden weight loss can affect bones, blood, and the central nervous system.
Its just not worth it,.
Exercise, a healthy balanced diet and food training (training yourself to eat properly) is the best weight loss programme of all.

Pros:
If you are allergic to a food, it will not have a chance to give you a reaction.
If a food is past its date, you will not get food poisoning.
These are the only positives I know.
Cons:
Your body goes through a state of shock.
Your heart rate jumps dangerously high so you can cause yourself to have a stroke or heart attack.
Your body loses the precious nutrients it needs to survive.
Your mind cannot function properly because your entire system is confused and going awry.
It is a basic state of emergency and can cause you to no longer be able to swallow solid food.
You can end up breaking the hearts of your loved ones and friends as you lay dying in the E.R. instead of living a happy, productive life.

Cons are your tooth enamel gets worn away by your stomach acid and you are likely to have a heart attack at an extremely young age. There are many, many more cons. No pros worth what it will do to your health and self-esteem.

Pros. You can get thinner by calorie and nutrient deficiency.
Cons: You'll smell like vomit. Burn the back of your throat with stomach acid. Weaken the structure of your teeth, again with stomach acid. Become neurotic mentally, with the pressure to keep nothing down.
