Possible the humbleness that comes from realizing that even our best knowledge and most complete theories might still be wrong and that we might need to change them as new facts appear. Evidence can turn even our most precious theories into fantasy.
A theory without experiment is just faith.
I really like this graphic by Wellington Grey.

What is 'reality as it is'?
Even if you're an atheist you clearly aren't up to date with modern science ie Quantum Physics, which has completely rewritten the world view in a way which obliterates the idea that reality is 'as it is'.
And ironically, almost all the findings of Quantum Physics correspond with what all the ancient mystics and spiritual teachers tell us about the Universe. Pretty soon what you call 'reality as it is' will not be thought of as anything you recognise...

Your reality is not what you can prove, but what you can percieve.
A person blind from birth, has no proof that colours exist. That is the reality for a blind person.
There are two components of reality
1) What you can detect with your senses
2) What your mind can percieve.
Knowledge and philosophy can alter a persons perceptions. Only through such study can a blind person realise colour.

Accepting God is far more humble. Accepting God means you believe there is someone above you.
Rebelling against God by pretending he doesn't exist, which is what athiests are really doing, is an attempt to control the world around them, instead of submitting to the one true God.
It is true, athiests are prideful.

It's far more humble to accept reality as it is. To believe in a god that created you in his image and the privilege of salvation is the epitome of pride.

I don't know what you thank is obvious, but the most obvious, and trueful thing is all around you. God created every thing. It just did,nt happen. Nothing can come from nothing.
Only God can create from nothing. Where else, did it all come from??? Have faith. Mortals can't understand spiritual things, and all of creation was spirilual..
Satan has almost the whole world fooled, but he knows, there is a almighty God that created him and every thing else..
I don't know what your IQ is, but really give it some s thought.

I believe it is the antithesis of humility to run around shouting and shoving down peoples throats that YOUR and only YOUR church / mosque/ temple / synagogue have the TRUE understanding of God and his message to everyone and that everyone else is going to hell ( whether it be when you die eventually or when they slit your throat for not believing) for not coming around to admitting that YOUR church / mosque/ temple / synagogue has the only correct way to him. Hypocrisy is funny huh?
THen again saying that you KNOW there is no God when you have no way of knowing for sure is almost as bad, except that that marauding bands of athiests have never attacked other groups of humans killing them in the name of Athieism

But is there anything humble about completely discounting its existence and stating solidly there is no God.
It's one thing not to believe in something, when you start claiming you're right and others are wrong you really discount that entirely.

Cross out Atheist and replace it with everyone that has a religious opinion. From what I noticed, people of every religion or lack of religion boast about their pride in it.

If you examined a hundred people who had lost their faith in Christianity, I wonder how many of them would turn out to have reasoned out of it by honest argument? Do not most people simply drift away?
