Why do people call a guys privates "Junk"?

It's just a PG way to say it. See some (very wrong) people don't like some words....they call theas words 'bad' or 'dirty' and they don't want you to say them in public. In fact....we can't even type them here. But you can type or say 'Junk' it's a good, clean word....and everyone knows what your talking about.

I first heard the word used my 'Radio Talk Shock Jocks' as part of their 'safe' words.
