what would happen if u crank the key more than you have to? (i have to crank the key twice)

Turning the key more then you are supposed to will probably cause pressure and pain.

If you are talking about a palatal expander, cranking more than once a day may cause you discomfort and pain. The expander is there to slowly expand your palate to correct a crossbite or a narrow palate in conjunction with braces. I would recommend against going faster than your dentist/ oral surgeon recommends.

nothing just more pain and a little discomfort, plus it will be faster to expand
