Im a man but i dont share the facination. Men fart all the time and proud of it. Personally i find it embarrasing and alittle disgusting.

I think its because back in the old days, it was considered all women should be "lady like", not sure about that considering men were supposed to be "manly like". I just assume farting, burping, sex jokes/puns, feels like an "in style thing" for most guys. other think its gross just because its farting which comes out the anus, also because the odor it permits, which is like the old saying that people agree on, one who creates the odor seems attracted to it.

Well, my other half does it to annoy me mainly. The always smell so bad, it doesn't matter whats he's eaten, its still smells like someone has empited a worksite port-a-loo in the room. His best trick is to fart in bed and shove my head under the cover. Lovely bloke though!

First of all not just men, Women to!!
We all know it's a fact of life.
But it can also be in good standing morals or manners, at lest elsewhere and far from the poor unexpectant victim /s.

It's childish...yes....It's disgusting yes......but it's funny. A well timed fart will put a smile on even the most miserable sour faced gits!
I especially like letting them go in Lifts! (Elevators for our American friends)

I don't think it's only men these days. Not a very endearing characteristic, but a natural body function that should be just accepted and not "blown" out of all proportion. lol.

Not sure, But the wife puts up a hell of a fight when I hold her head under the duvet and let out a thunderous fart so I take it she doesn't like it.

that's too funny,and true at times..I have genetic problems for sometimes overproducing gas,even on proper meds.It's not pretty for a woman,I learned to run outside when it acts up, eat "tums" and watch what I eat.It's so embarassing,I just can't see how anyone can think it's cool,got me on that one!

It can relieve discomfort but mainly its a way of being slightly naughty so its fun. I'm sure you can remember your mother telling you off (or a friend's mother telling them) for farting.
So yes men can be childish in that way.
