wear a hat and go get the shampoo from the drug store. It will kill the lice after one or two applications. It is the only way I know of killing it and if you are embarassed just act like it isn't for you, you can strike up conversation with the clerk about how you need to hurry up and get this back to your nephew or something. Don't worry. Head lice is very common and easily transferred. It is nothing to be ashamed of.

There's nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about. Just go to the drugstore and get some lice shampoo. Follow the directions carefully, since you can reinfect yourself. Be sure to wash your linens (especially pillowcases), brushes, comb and towels in very hot water. Throw any clips, elastics, etc. away and get new ones once the lice are gone.
By the way, every school has an episode of lice infestation at one time or another. Sometimes the cleanest hair seems to be the most attractive to the little critters.

Don't get a cheap, plastic nit comb and those over-the-counter remedies, like Nix and Rid may not work. I recommend getting a good lice comb, like the LiceMeister (it is metal) and soaking your head in rubbing alcohol. It will kill the lice. Just don't get it in your eyes. Rinse it out and shampoo. You will need to wash all your bedding and tumble dry it and maybe even spray the sofa and car with something to kill lice. Comb through your hair with the lice comb to get the nits. Tumble dry your bedding every day and treat your head every day and they should be gone in a week or less. Vacuum the carpet too.

It's okay. Just tell your parents! I know how embarrasing skin conditions are, and if you just tell your parents and your closest buds, and make them promise they'll never tell, and you will be fine. I have dandruff, and that is what I did. And plus, a really good shampoo is Head & Shoulders, so I reccomend getting that. I hope I helped!

get a nit comb from the chemist, about 75p, plastic ones are best. wash yr hair put on loads of conditioner then comb your hair firs the wider side then the narrow, over and over all your head till nothing comes out. repeat every other day for 2 weeks, that should solve the problem. wash all your pillowcases on hot wash and your hairbrushes.
