Peace is a consequence of detachment from outcome. Detachment is a consequence of acceptance. Acceptance is a consequence of surrender of struggle. Struggle results from attachment to outcome.

None of this results from your conscious choice. If you want to be Peace badly enough, you will find that it is effortless; it is already done. It is your effort to cause that which you already are that makes it impossible to be that. The same is true of Love; it is effortlessness itself.
