By inflicting pain and fear on others, you can gain power, comfort and wealth. By lying to others, you can gain their confidence, their money, sex. Why do good when it pays to be bad? According to Christianity, you will be forgiven of all sins in the end, no matter how severe (according to Martin Luther) if you ask God. At the cowards deathbed, when he is helpless, that is the only time he will cry out for God, and he will be saved. Help me out here.

Hitler is dead, so is my Dad, what is your point?

I never said Hitler went to heaven. Hitler is a name and to me represents evil people in this world, past and present. The evil can go to heaven if they ask forgiveness from God on their deathbed, according to Christianity.

On the contrary. I believe the evil are cowards and would say anything to get out of pain.

Happy pilgrim: Wise answer, but knowing your "Pa" is always forgiving would make you misbehave more in life, knowing you will get away with it in the end if you say you are sorry. And again, you would mean it because of the fear of what awaits you if you didn't sincerely apologize. Again, the evil are cowards and are afraid of pain.

Hitler is DEAD

The biggest problem with your statement is, the vast majority of the time we have no clue when we will die. For example just a few short days ago in Minneapolis Minnesota a bridge crossing the Mississippi River suddenly collapsed
killing 11 people. These people had no warning, no sign, no way of knowing that they will be dead in a matter of seconds but without warning all 11 went into eternity without another chance to ask God to forgive them.
Most deaths are sudden not slow and therefore you have no time for a death bed conversion.
,
,I once thought like you until 14 years ago when God finally got through all the defenses I had set up,now my life is so full and exciting that I do not miss the things that formerly filled my life like sex, drugs etc..I have no time or desire for anything that this world calls fun.

I Wouldn't Worry about "hitler" being in Heaven.
Although Jesus Made it Possible, hitler woulda' had to say "YES" to Jesus.

There Ain't No Way I can see hitler saying YES to Jesus.
Even at the Point of Death.
Even if GOD Expanded Time and Gave him A HUNDRED Extra Chances.

As far as I AM concerned, hitler is in hell with the demons he so Fondly Loved.

All demons (angels kicked out of Heaven) HATE ALL HUMAN BEINGS.

Do you think hitler is having a good time down there?

I don't know that just crying out for God is going to save anyone. True repentance is not just some words that come out of the mouth. Repentance is turning your whole life around. .

It seems to me that there is nothing that occurs on the deathbed that would accomplish that. Out of fear of death, a God rejector might very well grasp at a straw and call upon God to try and manipulate God to helping. But if God exists, certainly He knows what is in our heart and He will not be manipulated by our words.

You tell me - if you were a father who had a son that he loved very much and the son went off the deep end, got into all kinds of trouble, even committed murder.... the father doesn't even see the son for years and years but always thinks of him, prays for him.... and then the father gets word that his son is about to die.... and the father rushes to see him and there is the father and son together in some hospital room... and the son looks at the father with tears and asks his father's forgiveness for his ruined life.... If that father loves the son, won't the father forgive? won't the father gladly accept his apology?

If the death bed confession is genuine and sincere, how gladly our heavenly Father welcomes the vilest sinner to his side!!

god bless

The Bible tells us, "God is love." It doesn't say Hod has love. He is love! Love is the essence of God's character.

While life on earth offers many choices, eternity offers only two: heaven or hell. Your relationship to God on earth will determine your relationship to him in eternity. If you learn to love and trust God's Son, Jesus, you will be invited to spend the rest of eternity with him. On the other hand, if you reject his love, forgiveness, and salvation, you will spend eternity apart from God forever.

There are two kinds of people: those who say to God 'Thy will be done' and those to whom God says, 'All right then, have it your way.' Tragically, many people will have to endure eternity without God because they chose to live without him here on earth.

I agree with pilgrim, if the death bed confession is genuine and sincere, how gladly our heavenly Father welcomes the vilest sinner to his side. But, unfortunately, I doubt that Hitler had ever made any confessions on his death bed since he committed suicide with his wife, Eva Braun.

That's true. A terrible person could have a deathbed conversion and go to heaven, while a good person who doesn't believe would go to hell. This upside down justice system is another flaw in Christianity.
