It makes me think how many Americans work on the sabbath who are Christians as there are millions of stores open 7 days a week?

Is that why some employers pay time and a half or double on Sundays? To ease their consciences because they're forcing their employees to commit the awful "sin" of being gainfully employed?

Heh, thank Jesus health care workers don't mind sinning on Sundays.

The punishment for Christians for working on the sabbath is; that there is no punishment.

Christians were not a party to the old covenant law wherein the sabbath command is.

One cannot be held to the conditions of a covenant they were never a party to.

Also, that covenant ended upon the death of Jesus, even as a marriage covenant ends upon the death of either party.

Did someone trick you into believing you had to keep old covenant laws, contrary to the warning in Galatians 5:1?

Too bad. Now you have the veil before your eyes as related in II Cor. 3. And you cannot remove this veil, because you cannot perceive it or believe it.

Such is the price for adulterating the gospel.

there is no punishment for working on the sabbath....u just need to remember the sabbath and "keep it holy"....so most christians go to church on sunday or sat evening. just taking time out of the week to stop and attend a service or have some time to kinda dedicate to God it's no biggie if you have to work on sunday. god knows our hearts...that's what He cares about....not our work schedules.....God isn't about all those little rules

Once one is redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, one isn't under the law of sin & death, but under Grace.

So? When Christians don't go to Church, they miss out on Gods best. God blesses the people who hear the Word of God. Faith comes by hearing & hearing a Word about Christ/ God. So, when a person doesn't go to Church, person is usually being a disobedient Christian. So? Therefore will be disciplined by God.

When one is born of God, born of His Spirit & cleansed by His blood, person is sealed with the Spirit of promise. Can pray to God 24/7 & that is entering Gods '7's (rest). This is following after the Spirit by trusting & obeying God.

one should attempt to get the sabbath off-- but I think God understands the need to work on sundays to support you and your family. In addition certain professions such as doctors, nurses, firefighters, police.... ect you need even on Sundays.

The rationalizations by Christians on this one should be good, although I have noticed few answers on some questions where a sensible answer is really beyond them.

the only thing that happens is that one your body is not as fully rested as it should be, and because of that it could effect your attitude toward worship and other things that go on from day to day.
