The easiest and cheapest way of getting from newcastle to london is definatly by train, just get on at newcastle and get off at kings cross and takes about 3 hours.

Costs from £15 to about £90 for a single ticket, this varies wildly depending on the day of travel and the time and how far in advance you book. Its always best to book the ticket as getting it on the day will cost a lot more. go to www.gner.co.uk or www.thetrainline.co.uk to book.

Alternativly easyjet fly from newcastle airport to stanstead for around £20-£40 each way, again depending on time and day of travel. Any savings are lost with train tickets costing £15 from stanstead to the centre and from metro tickets from newcastle airport to the centre, so around about £100 for a return, centre of city to centre of city.
