I need a guys point of veiw on this subject matter. Women are always told not to sleep with a man they really like if they want to keep him. How do guys feel about this if they really and truly like the woman. I think if its meant to be the guy will stick around if you end up sleeping together, let's say a month into knowing the guy. (I'm not talking about the 1st date!!!) Does it matter to you or do you think differently of the woman afterwards? What is the ideal time frame for you to still have respect for her (if you would even lose respect for her..)

If you sleep with him way too soon, it will plant doubts in his head. He'll wonder if you really liked him or if you're just easy. However, for most guys I think that kind of doubt is pretty much gone after the first week or two. The reason a lot of women warn to wait is not because the guy will leave if you put out, but because there are a lot of guys that just want the sex, and after that they're basically done with you. But those types of guys are not generally all that patient, so they won't wait very long.

For me personally I respect any woman who is willing to make me wait until she's sure about me. I think it's important to really get to know each other first. If there is nothing to your relationship besides sex, it won't last long. So hang out together for a couple of weeks, just to make sure you are friends outside the bedroom. Then if things feel right, sex becomes an option.
