The RCC says Jesus set Peter up as the head of the church and the first Pope, but since neither of those guys probably even existed, that's a bit shaky . . .

The Greek Orthodox Church can trace ITS apostolic succession to Timothy, and hence from Paul, so they may actually be on firmer ground . . .

Yet any number of sects, schisms, denominations and cults claim THEY have the "One True Faith™" by virtue of a superior understanding of the Buybull, or some kind of private revelation . . .

Heathens, Pagans, and Wiccans all seem to understand that spirituality is personal and/or cultural . . . doesn't that seem more likely to be correct, generally speaking?

Truth is relative. Where one person sees magic another sees science. Where one person sees "truth" another sees Jewish fables. Where a Wicca sees a sign of the Goddess, an atheist sees the moon.
What is truth? Some truths are absolute. The sky is blue, we can't fly, a chicken comes from an egg. But we can SEE those truths, replicate those truths.
Other truths are relative. Does God exists? Does Frigga exist? Is there magic? Is there a hell? We can't prove it, but we can't disprove it either. We can't climb into someones soul and take pictures, open their head and see proof. Not all things can be proven and what some people fail to see, is they don't NEED to be. I feel no need to prove my Gods. If you don't hear the call, then you are bound for a different path. *shrugs*
Christianity has neat little "rules" to bound them to intolerance and unacceptance. You have to spread the word or you will go to hell. You must accept Jesus and God or you will go to hell. You are a bad creation (oh that by the way God created) and you will go to hell unless you refuse to doubt everything written. They cry foul at every lie "shown" to them, yet have no problems call ours False. And it's ok. Refer back to above mentioned rules. *rolls eyes* I just don't freaking care anymore. If they want to make thier ow lives miserable by being nothing but useless "sinners"more power to them. I have better things to do.

Who owns truth of anything? Whoever writes history. Who writes history? The winners!

Seriously, notice that religions that claim their god the true god all base their 'truth' on writings written by those trying to promote that religion! I mean, if history had been different, and Christianity didn't take over Europe, non-Christians would have been the history writers and what they wrote would be considered truth.

But that didn't happen, Christians won that great battle and now the bible is the ultimate truth whereas in other countries (India) Christan's are not the history writers there, and their truth is totally different.

As I've always said, there are three sides to a story: person A's side, person B's side, and the real story! (which is usually a combo of the first two)

Yes, Spirituality is VERY personal. I don't need someone to tell me how to walk my path... I was here from the beginning, they're just passing through. "Truth" is everywhere and I don't believe any single Religion, Denom, Path has 100% Truth... (I don't care who gets on TV and says they have it... seems to me that's the ego talking) I believe we should share with each other, but I don't think a label or a belief grants any special understanding that no one else can claim. I find people like that to be very arrogant... and they've only ever taught me one thing... how NOT to act.

i guess other beliefs and traditions sometimes hold more evidence and truth than christianity and the fact is every person with a belief including an atheist believe that they are following the correct path. The reality is our beliefs keep us good and truthful and honest they all teach us about goodness and purity so in turn we all have the same beliefs thought to us by our varying religions.

There is no "One True Faith". No religion is superior to another based on historical records. It is a personal journey.
