Since diety is such a big thing in any religion, for it is important for the people of that religion to know who their God is.

Not trying to offend anyone, just trying to see what everyone thinks of this, trolls are highly encouraged to keep away.

Evolution: This is exactly my question, wouldn't you agree that given God in any given religion must claim somewhere in his book in a clear affirmative statement "I'm God, worship me"?

Tony: I've read parts of the Bible, and I know that Jesus "pretty much" said similar stuff..however, my question is, why didn't he say " I'm God".
This question is for those who consider Jesus a God.

The only ones who can sensibly answer your question are paople who have been dead for two thousand years. If anyone tries to tell you why some long-gone person did, or didn't do something, he's only guessing.
Any guessed answer can't be proven or disproven. One is just as right or wrong as the other.

I believe that Jesus came to show us an entirely different idea of Savior than anyone expected. Instead of using His might and power (which he could have) to get people to follow Him, He served. He gave himself everyday to the people around him, touching them, healing them, setitng them free from whatever tormented them. Many people did worship Him as Lord after they saw (and experienced) such miracles. Jesus didn't need to demand worship and reverence. He had already had an incredible relationship (wish I could say that better) with Almighty God. Our worship is not necessary to God, but beneficial for us. I'd have to look in my Bible (no time now) to see if Jesus claimed to be God. However, He did say that He has a kingdom outside of this world (When talking to Pilate). He also says that there is no way to the Father but through Him. So we can debate all day and night whether Jesus was truly God or not. The Scriptures clearly say that He is Christ, Messiah, Savior. And that is enough reason to worship Him all my days.

For all intents and purposes Jesus does claim divinity in John 8:58, in which Jesus stated, "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!" The language used intentionally echoes the language in the Exodus chapter 3, where God tells Moses that he should say I am who I am has sent you. In the last portion of John chapter 8, Jesus very clearly claims his incarnate nature. However, it is worth pointing out that Jesus also states that all of his action is to glorify the Father, and all glory he has comes from the Father.

The fundamentalists will argue this nonsensical belief until the cows come home. Who was Jesus crying out to on the cross? Are they suggesting Jesus was suffering from a split personality disorder? It makes no sense, not because God works in mysterious ways, but rather because its nonsense. God is our father and Jesus is our brother.

Because the Trinity was doctrine accepted by vote not by scripture.
There were many Nontrinitarian Christian sects before the Council of Nicea made the Trinity canon. Many of them were wiped out as heretics after the official doctrine was decided.

Because he knew he was not God. only a messenger. Mark 10:18
"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God alone.
He says he is not God in that verse.

Thats why I'm no longer Christian, because they put their trust in a messenger instead of God the creater. The one you are supposed to worship.

Jesus Christ is God and this weak-minded world is wrong with its claims of evolution. I tell you Jesus is God because him and God are the same. The holy spirit is Gods spirit so it is God, and Jesus is God in human form so he too is God. So all three which are Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit, and God are all one. Jesus wrote a book that has all the answers which is the Bible, and there he gives people a chance to get to know what he did and how he blessed his believers. Pray to God so that he may show you the path and so that he made guide you into deepening your relationship with him.

Because Jesus became a MAN, Totally.
Therefor, at that Time, GOD (The Father in Heaven) WAS GREATER than Jesus (GOD, Who became a Man).

Jesus left HIS Glory (all of that InCredible Power that made Jesus the Creator) in Heaven.

UnTill Jesus Finished HIS Mission down here on the Earth and went (Ascended) back to Heaven and Got Back HIS Glory, The Father was Greater than Jesus.
