If you're happy with it, then I guess it's a good deal for you. Just out of curiosity, who is getting the $1,000? You, I hope!

Are you sure there is nothing wrong with the cougar?? That sounds alittle screwed up, Why would they want to trade a newer car for a older one and the fact that they giving 1000 cash also would make me wonder, or maybe the cougar has tons of miles?? I would definetly trade if the cougar is in good running order BUT you cant really trust people!

Definition of a good deal : Buying or trading for a product you like, at a term or payment you can afford, from someone you trust. It's that simple. What you would pay for, somone else may not. Might think about keepnig you thousand bucks though. Your SUV is worth about 800.00 dollars more than the cougar.

If you can live with it, the mileage is good-it doesn't sound that bad knowing what you have stated. Go for it.
