baptist would say you have to go to church... but i say, as long as you are in GODS word everyday, you are a christian... heres an example...
is it worse to be someone who goes to church every sunday, and wednesday, and only act like a christian on those days... or to be someone who studies the BIBLE everyday and actually tries to live it, but doesnt go to church....

there are a lot of things to concider in choosing a Church home... to make an answer here on all of it would take too long... but directly to the question... No... you need not attend a "building containing fellow Christians" to remain faithful to God... But a good Church home is a GOOD thing... there are may benifits in many spiritual, and even Earthly, ways.
"Going to Church" REALLY going... is so much more than just showing up for a sermon on Sunday... the summer BBQs alone are worth it... I would recomend a small congregation... where you can get to know every one and be involved with much of the work of maintaining a living Church family and home.... when you put your sweat and blood into a home it is truly yours...even when you share it with a hundred or so others... because they also have put in their sweat and blood... if you think you will not put your blood into it...just wait till the next remodeling project... small congrigations do-it-themselves.

Your right on both counts. We don't forsake the assembly and wherever two or three gather together in His Name, there He is with them, also.
Here's the point. Church attendance is a direct indicator of your relationship with Jesus. It's not the only indicator but it is a big one. Christians who want to be more Christ-like find it easier to become more like Him by worshiping with other Christians on a regular basis. Personally, I think the 'forsaking' verse is a command but I can't imagine having much faith without the help of my brothers and sisters so I'll be attending every Sunday. (and Wednesday night)

Without quoting scripture the answer is yes you can be a Christian without going to church. If you believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, that He died for your sins, and that He was resurrected, you are a Christian. The church is a place to worship Christ and to fellowship with other Christians and grow in your faith and knowledge of the Lord. Being a Christian also means reaching out to others so they too can learn of the eternal life offered by Jesus, church is a place to learn how and to gain support. And you are correct you do not have to be in a "church" building. It can be wherever two or three are gathered in His name.

No, but it helps. You just have to be a good person, and
read the bible, once and awhile. Also be faithful. In my church, we have committees and volunteers. We don't exactly have church family style living arrangement and id arreangments, in which people only have one name. That's part of what occults do. Church work, yes, such as volunteers, committee membership, sunday school teachers, ect. Other than that, no. If you mean weekday school, our kids can go to any public school. Going to church means going to church, you can gather in church, you can be part of a group, that goes out for brunch after church. So, yea, you meet in church, wether it's a bulding or not, but you're not resticted to being in the church, as opposed to being free to go home, or whatever. And in a relgious sense only, everyone is brother and sister, wether they go to church or not, because God is the divine father and people, are God's children. By the way, Christ is not God, but the son of God.

It's a personal decision but it says in the bible to gather in crowds to worship and that it is IN my word's praising the Lord with more power than by solo.. HOWEVER the corruption this day n age in our country is much different then biblical times when church's were clean. I am not saying that all are not clean but there is alot of hypocrasy , lies and deciet swept under the rug's of today's churches that are in it for the money. What I am sayin is that I have had trouble finding a church where I can feel comfortable. I was confirmed lutheran, soon after my church inherited 2 million bucks from a member who died. The pastor left because the money blinded everybody from the true meaning of the church. He liked a small simple church. Greed brewed and He knew people were more interested in business then The Word.
Furthermore I went to a pentecostal church after my old pastor moved out of state. That was a very uncomfortable experience. The members were all on a personal race (if u will) to show others they have more spirit than thene\xt.... There was alive band, no message , A but a \bunch of jibberish and tongue speaking, which was not learning but SHOWING (TO OTHERS that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit) is stronger inside them than their neighborin. I believe that speaking in tongues is supposed to be for a purpose not to PROVE that there is a God because that root's to disbelief.
they recomended me 2b baptized again fully submerged , and a member said that baptizing with out full submersion is like ( God tinkling on your head)
anyway I found a good Southern Baptist church call Calvary Baptist where It is FOR ME.
God will indicate for you in Your heart where to go and what is the place FOR YOU to worship. Goin solo is ok, I watch Dr. Stanley and worship from my bedroom.... You know its got to be something You WANT to do though not something your doing because He said to. Sorrry i rambled so long ,
But I thought too at one point I was not obeying God by not goin to church. But, in essence Church is group of people, The building is just a place for the church to meet. So you can worship Anywhere you want until God set's in your Heart where He thinks You belong and will grow the most spiritually..... I hope I was help ,
p.s. diddnt mean to give you a lifestory

I go to to church to further my walk with God, I became Christian when I received salvation and did a 180 degree turn away from my sin, I go to church so that I can learn more about Christ and to have fellowship with other christians. I dont think I could have church at my house because it would not be the same, I have devotions at home with God, but church is where a whole bunch of people meet to worship God and to learn more about Christ and to fellowship with other christians.

To put it plainly, the "people" are the Church. When the bible refers to the Church, It's referring to the "believers of the Word".
Look at what Jesus has said; "Where two are gathered in My name, there shall I be." So, you can basically have Church anywhere, and all you need is two people. Right now, we are having Church because "we" are the Church and we're discussing God's Word : )

Going to the area Church is nothing more than coming together in a building.
If you and your family share your beliefs and discuss how God is working in your life your home becomes a Church.
The true meaning of the word Church is the Body of Christ, not some elaborate building made of steel and stone.
