They're being tested to see if they are worthy. I guess they are getting better--not many tornadoes this year, some floods, no earthquakes, either. Obesity-----I guess, they are sinking on that front!

Surely you are not trying to draw a correlation between people in the bible belt and extreme weather?

That area didn't just become subject to tornadoes yesterday! Actually, the weather got here in this country long before any community of people ever lived here!

I have wondered that also especially because churches are leveled in tornado's. Since they are supposed to be holy places you would think God would protect them. Another interesting thing is 90% of tornado's happen in the United States which is Christian. I live in Oklahoma and have seen the damage these things have done.
Here is a good web article about this that I thought was interesting

There are NO earthquakes here, there are problems in e3very state. Some with hurricanes, look at that and some really have earthquakes, and other things, what is your reason behind that. Satan is here too and plays a part in everyday life, trying to turn those of God away from God. Satan wants them to join him. Who are you with and which do you want to belong, Satan or God?
Do some research on tragic things in each area in the USA.

Because a lack of education plus an abundance of scary, destructive natural events equals a natural need to feel in control of the world, and what better way to feel in control (for the under-educated and/or hopelessly delusional) than to have an all-powerful father figure that can controls these events who you can curry favor with by thinking really hard to him.
