Can I use the Permanent Resident Card for the purpose of identification to get on a plane? Other documents need to be included? Other possible documents to be used in stead? Thanks all!

If you fly domestically, Green Card is fine, since it is an official ID (name and picture)
If you fly internationally, No. you need a passport and your Green Card to come back in US.

You do not need a passport for a domestic flight, but if you have one, you can certainly use it. you do need a photo I.D. if you are over 18...like a drivers license or state I.D. See website below for other types of I.D. that are acceptable. Always carry your green card too. If it is an international flight, you must have your passport from your home country.

Does your resident card have your picture on it? That's all you need. They compare the name on the ticket with the name on the ID and ensure that the face on the ID matches the person in front of them.
