It's natural for a male to be attracted to multiple women, as we are "hard-wired" to respond to a variety of visual stimuli. Flirting is just a way to express latent sexual tension that can't possibly be vented with just one woman. As long as it doen't go farther than flirting, you don't have anything to worry about. If you try to change this natural behavior, you're going to push your man away, and possibly cause him to cheat, or to just leave you for a woman that is more understanding of the differences between the genders. The most important thing in any relationship is communication. You should be asking your man why it is that he flirts, and be nonjudgmental with his responses, if you want further honesty about his emotions in the future (telling him how you feel about it is good, as long as you don't vilify the behavior, and as long as you make an attempt to try to understand his feelings on the subject). However, he should not be flirting in your presence with anyone but you, as that shows a blatant lack of respect for your feelings. If he is with you and checking out or showing more attention to other girls, then he doesn't care how you feel, and doesn't really want to be with you.

SmittenKitten, the sad fact is that a lot of guys need to boost their ego's by doing so and hoping to have it returned to them. But sad fact of life is that at times when accepted this flirting can lead to other things and then infidelity comes into play. And some guys are so foolish as to believe that they can actually trade up to a better looking or whatever women. Sad but it works in reverse also.

For the exact same reason girls in relationships flirt with guys. Even if you know you aren't going to act on anything it feels nice that someone finds you attractive.

Because they are not grown up yet if they really love you they would not flirt. It is normal for a guy to look at other girls and it is normal for girls to look at other guys but like I always say just because your on a diet don't mean you can't read the menu but always eat at home. This is normal for both sexes to look at other people but you have to be grown up enough to know where to draw the line.It is part of maturity.

its just a guy thing they just want to be affirmed that they still go the touch of hitting it up good with girls...its not that he don't like you its just him seeing if he still got it and know that you can still attract the girls is an ego trip but not for me im not like that.
