for people in wheelchairs. The sidewalks are really bad. My sisters in a wheelchair and has disabilities so when we try to walk down the street, we have to walk on the road or down unsafe allies. How can i convince the Gov. to fix the sidewalks???

In the 3 States I have lived in, sidewalk repairs are the responsiblity of the homeowner who's property the walks are in front of. In Ohio, you could be ordered to make repairs and then charged for the City to do the work if you didn't. You were also liable for injuries caused by disrepair.

The city council meetings are a good place to start, file a petition to have the sidewalks redone. In most residential areas, the property owners are responsible for a percentage of the resurfacing, which could make it hard to convince some people.

you dont pave the sidewalks they are concrete and takes alot of time and money . concrete is very expensive now and most cities do not include it in the budget. your governor is not responsible for the sidewalks your town mayor or city council etc discuss it at meetings when brought up by the members of the community.
