I'm not sure how good my English is, so it would be nice if you could read one or more of the following answers I gave and tell me if there are any grammar mistakes in them or if I used any expressions or words that sound strange. If you find something, please correct me.

Please also tell me if you're American, British or from another English speaking country.

I'm an [Australian] English teacher.

As everyone said, your English is excellent. I suggest these minor amendments:

"I remember SEEING a swastika"
(With 'remember', 'imagine', 'recall' we use the gerund or present participle.)

"shortLY after the fall of the Wall" - use the adverb, not the adjective.

"Blind obedience was valued ... and people were raised ACCORDINGLY" rather than "so". We don't often use "so" to mean "in that way" but as an intensifier such as "so stupid".

"Discrimination" in the singular.

"We're proud OF it" not "on" it.

By the way, not only your English, but the ideas and sentiments you express are excellent! I was really interested in the comments you made, as I've often been curious about how intelligent young Germans must feel about the Nazi legacy.

Thanks for giving me something really intelligent and interesting to read!

I'm an American, and your English is very good! Most native speakers aren't this proficent. You even spelled "grammar" right. Yay! I only noticed one phrase that seemed a tiny bit awkward, in your first answer: "The first time I conciously remember I saw a swastika..." Sounds a little awkward to me. It should be "seeing a swastika." But lots of native speakers do the same thing. You could get along fine over here.

Same as you are. This is not my native language so i guess we share the same traits. I'm also conscious about spellings and grammar as you do. Just the way you have delivered those statements, well all i could say is that you're not good but very good than I am.
